The Georgetown District High School was a three-phase project consisting of an addition and extensive interior renovations to an occupied and operational secondary school facility and adjacent regional indoor pool.
This project involved extensive renovations to the existing school, including substantial abatement and roof remediation, along with upgrades to safety systems and general repair. The school’s front façade was reconstructed and new language, computer and math classrooms, science labs, teacher offices, and developmental rooms and meeting space was created. A new 3,000 SF mezzanine addition which housed a state-of-the-art computer lab and staff offices was added next to the cafeteria. Existing second floor corridors were extended into the new addition.
A new artificial running track and soccer field were constructed and landscaping around the school and pool was updated.
Renovations to the large indoor pool, changing rooms and surrounding area include mechanical unit upgrades, new lighting system and installation of new life safety systems. Other upgrades included painting, new flooring and door hardware and ceiling repairs.
